Outside of legal practice, Heather enjoys travel, reading and supporting local animal rescue efforts. She is the mother of twins- her son in an officer in the United States Marine Corps and her daughter is in graduate school.

Heather's connection family law began early.  When her mother went to law school while she was in high school, she was introduced to the realities of family law from the inside.  She began working in the family practice during college and continued through law school, giving her more than three decades of experience working in and around family law.
